The Forums at Spartan Tailgate are the best free recruiting info source that I’ve come across and nobody had posted anything solid on the why. The main speculation was that, because it was pulled after his visit for the M(t)SU game, something must have happened during the visit that the coaches didn’t like. The other speculation was academic problems, but it was all very thin speculation, even for an internet message board.
We do already have three who project as DEs (Willian Gholston, Marcus Rush adn Tyler Calero) committted for 2010, and are still after a guy who’s a prospect at both LB and DE, (Sherard Cadogan) so maybe it was just a numbers thing, with just Trevor Anderson leaving at that position, and a lot of underclassmen. But odd timing it was.

I heard all the rumors, too. All I know is that to pull an offer from an in-state, four star player who fills a need after months and months of developing a relationship while you’re rumored to be the front-runner (think about all that) means that whatever happened had to be out-of-the-blue and significant. Since I know zero facts, I’ll trust the staff. The fact that he pulled the trigger so close to the offer being pulled says a lot about MSU’s chances.
I'm surprised mgoblog
thinks we have a greater ability to “make Forcier pay” when he leaves the pocket than Indiana does. They are currently ranked ahead of us in every defensive metric, including rushing defense.
Forcier
May be more a function of his decision making than of anything the MSU defense can do to “make him pay.”
