Spartans coach Tom Izzo says no redshirts for freshmen Derrick Nix and Garrick Sherman
Not the most shocking of news items. In other early-basketball-practice news, Tom Herzog is getting some of the old Goran Suton treatment from Izzo (which is a good thing), and there don't appear to be any red flags with Korie Lucious' return to the court.
Lastly, the Green-White scrimmage is set for 3:30 this Saturday. Doors open at 2:00 with autographs before the scrimmage.
Saturday can't come soon enough.

It’s the perfect mid-tailgate diversion. I think you’ll probably see a lot of people (like me) stopping by to watch a half or so.

It would be great
if Green could develop a good jump shot – that’s my only concern with having him sub in for Morgan. Hopefully Herzog will round into an acceptable starter. I don’t really think we need much offense from him so long as he plays solid D and rebounds. I expect a healthy Roe, Green and Morgan can provide enough scoring in the paint.
