Will Gholston to MSU

EDIT: Gholston is now listed by Scout.com as verbally commited to MSU. Annnnd, bumped to the front page!
EDIT #2: And
here's a longer (and free!) story from SpartanMag confirming the news.  Added Gholston's highlights video to the bottom.

I really need to start writing these emo-style recruiting posts on a daily basis, because look what happens: Tom VanHaaren, mgoblog's recruiting guru, reports that William Gholston, the top high school player in Michigan for the Class of 2010, has become a Spartan.

"I just talked to Will Gholston, and he committed to Michigan State at midnight on the dot."

More to come tomorrow as news begins to filter in. If confirmed, this would be MSU's biggest signing in a long while.

Grain of Salt

I know MSU has been the favorite, and of any random message board poster, TomVH is the one I would trust for this. I’m just wondering if there’s some hidden sarcasm here about how Gholston is a lock to MSU or something.

Looking forward to something official.

And Scout

Removes my doubt. Probably shouldn’t skim these kinds of posts. Apologies to the fine TomVH who I shouldn’t have doubted for more than a second.

Coolness

Great pickup for the fact that he’s likely to be a good player and for the woooo we got the number player in the state.
