Bruce Springsteen Thinks That Our Football Poster is Way Awesomer Than Yours

Someone in the ticket office must have been listening to Born in the USA:

Poster_medium

We made a promise we swore we'd always remember
No retreat, baby, no surrender
Blood brothers in the stormy night with a vow to defend
No retreat, baby, no surrender

I can't decide

It’s really a very good thing or a very bad thing that Blair White is the offensive representative on the poster.

I think so

White is the only one returning who really earned it. He consistently made big catches, clutch plays etc.

Light a man afire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Bad, probably.

But putting him in there increases the odds that the intrinsic awesome of Greg Jones will rub off on him.

As a Springsteen enthusiast

I feel compelled to point out that it’s “No retreat, baby, no surrender”

Me too.

And he substitutes “believe me” during plenty of life shows. That’s what I was thinking of. The official lyrics actually have neither “baby” nor “believe me.”

But meh, you’re right about the studio version, so I’ll change it.

"Do not cheat your team or your teammates. Know your plays. Block. Protect. Add to what we are trying to do."

Crazy Live Bruce

Changing the lyrics, stretching songs out to infinity, what ever will he do next?

Not very.

It’s just that Greg Jones is TERRIFYING.
