Trouble follows Calipari everywhere. That doesn’t “just happen”. What a better tournament 07-08 would have been without this pack of thugs and their pimp.
** reserved for something original **
They were...
…talking about this on the WBBL morning show today and the disucssion pointed something obvious out.
Why do things like this happen? Because the NCAA won’t go after the coaches. If you want to be paid millions to coach college basketball, why can’t that come with some “buck stops here” type of NCAA rule. Might not be fair, as a coach would be punished for the actions of another, but it would be effective. If his career was on the line, think Calipari might see a little more evil?
Even the serious sanctions that get put on programs often end up punishing players who were in high school at the time more so than the coaches that actually perpetrated the outrages.

RTC is nuts
RTC’s upset special: Michigan at home.
It’s Senior Day in March. We didn’t get to host them in the Breslin last year. There’s going to be a lot of unreleased hatred going on that day. No way we lose to Michigan.
RE: Plax. I don’t think he deserved no punishment, but compare what he did to the NFL’s most recent other high profile criminals. Vick was in charge of a gambling ring that brutally tortured dogs. Stallworth, though remorseful and accidental, killed a man. Burress possessed a weapon that the particular location he was in said he couldn’t have. One of these things is not inherently immoral, yet that’s the thing being punished most severely.
Light a man a fire, he'll stay warm for a day.
Light a man afire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
Playing Notre Dame in hoops!
Notre Dame has been ducking us for over 30 years. I asked about this on KJ’s old site. It’s good to see the top man, Coach Izzo, wants this to happen as well.
A little history for those of you not in the know:
We’ve played Notre Dame over 90 times (and haven’t played in the regular season since 1975)
We’ve played Illinois/Nortwestern just over 100 times.
MSU/ND used to be a great rivalry (we would routinely play them twice a season even after we joined the Big Ten).
It would be great to start it up again and add it to our other fierce rivalries with them in football and hockey.
Oh, and on the soccer theme
Here’s the one situation under which I can imagine myself rooting for the home team at Michigan Stadium.
