"They actually had to sit (Gholston) on the sideline (during practice) on Thursday to give the offense a break because of his dominance. He has been effective at outside linebacker and flat-out dominant at defensive end. He has numerous moves off the edge combined with great technique, speed, and size."

Gholston
Earlier this year I predicted he’ll either be the starter or get a lot of playing time.
I’m guessing he’ll be our best pass rusher the moment he walks on campus.
Hopefully...
…this Corey Freeman kid (who’s now gotten himself academically qualified, I recall reading) can come in and do something, too. He had some hype attached to him. If nothing else, he’ll allow the non-Gholston DEs in this recruiting class to redshirt.
I thought Tyler Hoover having earned the starting spot over Colin Neely was a positive thing. Hoover’s size at DE is nice and as a redshirt freshman he’s got more upside.

Neely
I hate to talk bad about a kid who worked hard all year, but Neely never produced anything. In most games he was the invisible man. So, its nice that Hoover took the starting spot and he does have room to grow, but its not like he just beat out Brandon Graham.
So, I’ll take more of a wait and see approach for him next year.
We need pass rush
our secondary was pretty bad this year so if we got a guy that can rush the QB then it will give him less time and it will just help our secondary that much more.
