Afterglow Thread: Michigan State 31, Minnesota 8
Edwin Baker knows where the goal line is.
The defense was very good in short-yardage situations and good enough in other situations.
Main concern: Did Tyler Sash steal Kirk Cousins' mojo?
The bye week is here: Get well, Mark Dell and Keshawn Martin.
In other action: Two close ones, but no change in the lay of the land at the top of the Big Ten standings.

9 down, 2 to go
And on a side note, Michigan scores 67 and wins! Doesn’t cover 3 point spread though.
The sideline is always greener at MSU.
More remarkably,
Michigan gives up 65 and wins.

gr8 game but Cousins struggles...
U are absolutely right. His mojo is missing and he is not even resembling the QB that lead MSU to the game winning TD against Wisconsin. He seems to have performance in patches. He is up for 3 weeks and then down for another 3 weeks. We still have 2 more games to go…COUSINS get ur magic back…we need him to have a shot at BCS bowl game.
throwing from his back foot
When he plants his front foot to throw the ball, he’s money. But he’s been heaving up a lot of from-the-back-foot garbage the last few games.
Martin
#MSU told me Keshawn Martin was cleared to play. But the coaches wanted to rest him today if they had that luxury.#MSU
Hopefully, that means he’ll be near 100% for Purdue.

Also
Dell could have come back, per Rexrode.

Nice to see the Man Mountain,
Antonio Jeremiah, playing on short yardage. No one is going to move him, I like it.
It didn't....
….matter in the slightest, but the two replay calls in this one were as obviously bad as any replayed call I’ve ever seen.
1. Gray clearly has his toe on the white line on Minne’s TD. It was very close, but indisputable that he had his toe touching white.
2. Tyquan Hammock didn’t step out at the two yard line. He doesn’t get near the sideline until he’s almost at the pylon, where he fumbles. It appeared to me the ball goes out of bounds, basically scooting around the pylon. But that should be MSU ball inside the one. I’m not totally sure of the rule, but it should either be where he fumbled it, or where it goes out of bounds. Neither of which were the two yard line.
I was at the game, so it's possible replay would have shown otherwise
But I was pretty certain he fumbled through the end zone, so I was glad they called it out of bounds prior to the fumble.
He definitely fumbled it down initially
Then it kicked his foot, which was out of bounds because he had already stepped out with his left foot, and it flew through the back of the end zone. But it probably should have been spotted closer.
