MSU-Nebraska-Omaha Open Game Thread

Here is your forum for in-game comments on the season's second and final exhibition tilt, tonight featuring the Spartans and the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. The game preview, with viewing/listening options is here. KJ will be reclining in his luxury box at Breslin for tonight's game, noshing on caviar and foie gras as he takes in the action, but I'm sure a number of TOC regulars, possibly including myself, will be on hand to provide commentary.
As KJ noted in the preview, Nebraska-Omaha likes to play at a decidedly un-Big Ten tempo, so we could be in for an up-and-down game. MSU has shown a willingness in the past to run with its opponents in the non-conference before being fitted for the cement sneakers demanded by Big Ten play, so I'm putting the over/under on possessions for tonight's game at 75. It should be a good test for Korie Lucious, who will be returning after serving the first game of his suspension against SVSU. As noted in the preview comments, Mike Kebler will be out so we should get to see even more of Appling and Lucious as Lucas continues to play himself back into shape. Your comments on any of these topics, or the success of the recently unveiled "drag" offense are welcome. Enjoy the game.

MSU Telecast
According to reports this game will be telecast on the BTN Network Tiesday at 6:00PM. Hopefully the Spartans will do something to make us watch.
Starting to pull away.
Not playing well but getting the job done.
True
but you can tell their rusty. The TOs are pretty poor. Shocker. There seems to be a lack of intensity, though. Hope the high ranking isn’t getting to them.
my2fish raises a good point.
We need to do better at the line.
Sick tonight, apparently.

Was at game and asked him
( I sat behind MSU bench in Izzone) and he said he’s feeling sick. Probably just a minor cold, he didn’t look too bad.

not watching
Just turned on the radio a few minutes ago. Sounds like the game is a bit sloppy, which is letting us get up and down the floor and get a lot of open looks.
oh
I’m not complaining – the radio guys were talking pre-game about Draymond making that prediction, though
IU with the win
Outscored Ferris 17-4 in overtime. Ferris came within less than a second of winning in regulation. Tough loss for them.
So...
did MSU look as sloppy via video as they did in person? Had some nice moments — but on the whole I thought MSU looked real sloppy and did not play with any urgency (Well – aside from Kalin and Day-Day). How’d it look to everyone else? Summers complete no-show in 2 games now.
Really poor defense
also watched in person. Izzo seemed rather upset about the quality of defense being played.
