I recently attended a Michigan State women’s basketball game and I have to say I was thouroghly impressed. Suzi Merchant has done a great job continuing the success that Joanne McCallie began. Merchant has added young players to an already strong nucleus, led by Kalisha Keane. If you have not gone out to see her play, I recommend that you do. This girl is the real deal. She is not incredibly athletic, but talented she is. Her talent is showcased through Merchant’s simple yet clever plays. I know there is much hoopla about the success of the Men’s program, but if you have a chance, see the other team on campus that is going to win a Big Ten title in 2011.
