And Herzog?

Couldn’t whatch the game live, couldn’t hold out to see it on DVR later on. What of Herzog?

It is funny Herzog will be one of the centers of attention for the next several weeks over this. Oh, Trey, if only you weren’t so good at ball, and oh, Zog, if you weren’t so much better at engineering instead.

(Note statement doesn’t preclude the possibility of Ziegler being great at engineering also.)

No word on Herzog

Pretty sure he didn’t kiss the S (told Hondo he had no intention to) and isn’t being discussed concerning Senior Day.

If it’s true that there’s a spot for TZ regardless (he sounds under that impression), I’m wondering if it’s because Izzo knows that someone has a foot and a half in the NBA already (whether outside commentators believe it wise or rational or not).

As far as I know, Herzog didn't get the full senior sendoff.

KJ is at the game, so if I’m wrong, I’m sure he’ll mention it later. Whether to read anything into that, I have no idea. Probably only means that nothing has been decided yet.

redshirt?

If Gauna redshirts, does that open up his scholarship slot for next year?

Don't need a scholarship...

Zeigler not coming to MSU. He’s publicly stated his number one priority is finding somewhere he can contribute immediately.

Yeah, I'm not really holding my breath for him.

Honestly, with Appling, Payne, and Gauna, I think we’re in great shape whether or not Trey comes to E.L.

Plus

The 4* per rivals, sharp-shooter Russell Byrd.

Congrats guys

Looking forward to seeing you next Saturday

Thanks, but uh...

We’ve actually got to get there first. Minnesota has played State tough this year.

On the plus side, if we lose on Friday, I’ll know exactly who to go to. :)

Another footprint

Nice Lucas assist on the Dahlman dunk. Raymar was a beast. Onto the tournament and the dance.

Happy Day...

If MSU’s guards can start playing with the same toughness as Raymar MSU might actually make some noise in the dance this year.

Someone probable mentioned this during the game thread, but

Chris Allen did a GREAT job on Manny Harris. Chris’ zero points are worth 12 since he held Manny to only 4.
Of UM’s 14 (14?) first half points, four were scored on defensive goaltending.
The Bres crowd seemed very kind to the Wolverines. I remember in ’79 when UM scored 16 points in the first half at Jenison the crowd serenaded them as they left the court with a chant of “Sixteen points! Sixteen points! Sixteen points!” No wonder Johnny Orr hated MSU.
