Live-Blogging Tom Izzo's Press Conference - SB Nation Detroit
Sean Yuille does the yeoman's work of transcribing press conference quotes from Simon, Hollis, and especially Izzo.
The story of the press conference clearly was the exchange between Lynn Henning and Tom Izzo, wherein Henning challenged Izzo's media silence, and Izzo proceeded to absolutely eviscerate him during a good ten minutes of back-and-forth. In case you're curious, Henning's column has already been posted, and contains this gem:
"Izzo has built a castle of a basketball production in East Lansing and could have the top-ranked team this autumn. His personal standing, even if he picked up a bruise or two during the Cavs vigil, has been impeccable. Which is why no one begrudged him taking a long look at Gilbert's overture."
Words fail me.

that was amazing, especially after he said he didnt say he wanted to argue but then instead of asking a question, offered counter points to what izzo was saying. i believe thats called arguing.

cant a man not speak what he is thinking regardless of the situation and the headline news. instant news media has never been my favorite thing (no offense blogs ;) ) but come on, do you really need izzo to tell you what hes doing every second, then try to blame HIM for the hooplah?
