MSU offers 2012 IN WG Gary Harris
According to Evan Daniels of Scout via Twitter, Michigan State has offered Indiana wing Gary Harris on an unofficial visit to East Lansing. Harris is already a high D1 prospect who should continue to develop as an elite offensive playmaker. When rankings start coming out, he should be at least a four-star caliber guard.

Here is a recent free (for now?) Rivals article in which Harris and his coach Shawn Bledsoe discuss Gary's fondness for Coach Izzo and MSU. The term "high interest" gets tossed out a great deal.

Gary Harris
I’m hoping MSU can land him. He seems like a perfect fit. Him and Kaminski would be a great start for 2012.
You rock
I came in to post this same news and you had me by 3 hours. I didn’t even know Harris was on the MSU radar till the offer. Looks like a promising wing player who already has a reputation as a defender, as well as a versatile scorer. Sounds like Izzo’s kind of guy. Some of the usual suspects have also offered him (IU, Xavier, Illinois, Minnesota, Cincinnati and others).
Thanks, Con.
I’ve read quite a few reviews of Harris in action and they’re all pretty much glowing. UMHoops was blown away when they saw him and talked about him being the best player in the gym. The impression I get is that he’s a score-at-will sort of guy right now.
I’m no expert on these things but I wouldn’t to shocked to see him close to a five-star when rankings come out. Izzo offering this early says a lot.
MSU connection
Did you catch the Garry Harris’s coach was an assistant at Cleveland St under Mike Garland? Can’t hurt.
Another article
Here’s a bio-type article from the Indianapolis Star about Harris. His Mom played in the WNBA. His list of schools right now is 15(!) and he’s hoping to narrow it down. He’s apparently an impressive defensive player in addition to his skills as a combo guard, so he sounds like he would be a good fit in the Izzo system.
