QueenCityHigh.com is reporting that 6'6", 240 lb. defensive end Joel Heath out of Cincinnati has committed to Michigan State, making him the 7th recruit in the 2011 recruiting class. Here are his rankings:
RIVALS: No Ranking
SCOUT: 3*, #49 DE
ESPN: 3*, Grade of 76, #81 DE
He had offers from Kansas, Minnesota, and N.C. State before committing to MSU, so my best guess is that he'll a mid-three star when Rivals gets around to ranking him. Sorry to cut this update short, but between a deadline for the basketball preview and a promotional campaign coming up next week, I'm stretched a little thin. Regardless, Heath makes a solid addition to a recruiting class that, like every other in the NCAA, needs defensive linemen.
