ESPN Announces Big Ten Men’s College Basketball Television Schedule
The Big Ten basketball schedule hasn't yet been released in full, but we now know that MSU will appear on ESPN in at least six of those conference games:
Tues. Jan 11, 7pm: Wisconsin @ MSU
Tues. Jan 18, 7pm: MSU @ Illinois
Sat. Jan 22, 9pm: MSU @ Purdue (College GameDay on location)
Thurs. Jan 27, 7pm: Michigan @ MSU
Tues. Feb 15, 9pm: MSU @ OSU
Sat. Feb 19, 9pm: Illinois @ MSU (College GameDay on location)
Sun. Feb 27, 1pm: Wildcard (Purdue @ MSU, Indiana @ OSU, Iowa @ Illinois)
The Purdue home game seems ripe to be picked up by CBS for its Sunday afternoon game. No word on the Wisconsin game in Madison (is this finally the year?), or either of the Minnesota games. The visit of College GameDay to East Lansing should add some extra spice to what could be a very important mid-February game against Illinois.

Tuesday, February 15th, MSU @ OSU
I’m going to try and come up from Athens (OH) to attend that one in person. Not exactly sure how best to get a ticket but I’ll try to pull something out with my connections. Anyone know if people sell affordable singles outside of Big Ten games? I’ve only tried non-conference cupcakes and never at OSU.
IIRC
OSU basketball tickets are the easiest of any good Big Ten team — they had lots of trouble selling out the place even last season when they were very good. They might sell out the MSU game, but I can’t imagine you’ll have trouble finding tickets.
PP-TPW.

I just don’t want to drive up to Columbus sans tickets and have to go to a sports bar in town. Thanks for the info, LVS. It’s always easy to find half-face-value season tickets outside of Breslin for IUPUFLWIXB but this is a new arena for me.
You already know what and when you'll be teaching in spring?
When I was a TA at Illinois, we usually found out about a week before the semester.
I've got a pretty good program with that.
It emphasizes teaching experience a great deal. We offer two different classes and I’ve known my class, size, section, time, etc., since last Spring. Can’t complain at all on that front.
And, in basketball news, I get to watch the best player in the MAC, DJ Cooper, next year.
Yes
Should not be a difficult ticket. They had to run some kind of promotion to sell out the Purdue game last year, as I recall – a game with title implications and Evan Turner playing. Definitely a football school.
