Lansing Sexton's Valentine picks Michigan State basketball
More on this in a bit, but I think this commitment was pretty expected. One scholarship is left in 2012.

Expected...
But Nuts, not necessarily his commit but how many commits MSU has had within a week or 2.
With only 1 More Scholarship left, and the possibility that Matt Costello might not drag this one out, Tom Might have wrapped up 2 recruiting classes with 5 commits in 2 weeks. That’s the kind of stuff Calipari does. (p.s. i know we don’t want tom to be Calipari)
Bad news is… we won’t have very much speculating on our classes :( since everyone will be committed
Seriously, bad news
I’ve warned the TOC guys that I’ll have nothing to talk about for a while!
Has to be great for Izzo to be able to focus his attention elsewhere even if it’s 2013. He at least has a few less things to worry about now and has more leeway with his priorities. Izzo’s earned it and it’s nice to see it paying off.
One scholarship left?
Or is there? Muhwhahaa!!! Just kidding, but some remain convinced that there must be something in the works to add both Matt Costello and Gary Harris. Time will tell.
I’m off to a whole afternoon/evening of work so I won’t be able to add much to the conversation but let me say that I love this pick-up.
He looked great in July and really proved to Izzo and others that he was a top talent. Excellent court vision, passing, and basketball IQ. Denzel should be great for taking advantage of all those talented wings and athletic big men Izzo is bringing in, not to mention making things happen in the halfcourt when the attack breaks down. Regardless of who else is added, I think he’ll make MSU fans proud. Always great to bring in a local legacy guy.
And yes, it never hurts to deny your in-state rival a player they coveted.
Can't Imagine we get Harris
We would already have so many wing prospects.
I think Costello will commit soon(ish) and We will be onto 2013.
Now the questions… how will each player fit into the rotation?
Appling: Slashing/Scoring PG
Trice: Shooting PG
DZ: Passing PG
Anderson: High Flying SG
Kearney: Balanced/Passing SG
Byrd: Shooting SG/SF
Dawson: High Flying/ Rebounding SF
Kaminski: Shooting/Reboundnig SF/PF
Gauna: Shooting/Banging PF/C
Payne: Atheletic Big Man PF/C
Sounds like alot of versatility.
Also people have predicted all along that Tucker was 2013 PG. Will this affect him at all?
Another good get for Izzo
I’m very happy that we are adding a pass first point guard, especially one who is 6’5. He should be a great balance to the scoring guards/wings we’ll have on the roster when he arrives on campus. If you haven’t seen him play, watch some highlight videos…he has an ability to consistently get in the lane and make great passes, that have little margin for error, to big men around the hoop.
