Good catch on Crist
I spent the whole first half of the game watching with my girlfriend (a nurse) and we kept saying, “He can’t see out of his right eye? Shouldn’t they be looking at him or even taking him to a hospital? If there’s no clear damage that sounds like concussion symptoms to me.”
But perhaps it was just a bruise. I’m not a doctor either, I guess.
Yes. The point is, wouldn't you err on the side of caution?
If it turns out that he didn’t have a concussion (which apparently is true), that’s great. But given the symptoms and circumstances, I don’t know how they could have been sure of that at the time.
PP-TPW.

I thought the same
When I saw Crist back on the the field, I was hoping the blurred vision thing was an inaccurate report from NDBC.

Didn't realize Lorenzo Guess was a coach at Notre Dame.
And that he was on Kelly’s staff in Cincinnati as well.
May he have...
…the same luck coaching against us that the estimable Amp Campbell did.

Probably the doctor's fault
In high school, it’s up to the doctor/medical staff to allow a player to return the game or not. I assume the responsibility is the same in college.

Calipari
Since you brought up Pearl’s issues. More from the New York Times on Calipari:

Seems like they are spending a lot of time digging on Coach Cal. You won’t hear me complain about that.
