- The State News :: Keane's last-second heroics lift Spartans past Hawkeyes
Hot off the presses: "With half a second left, senior forward Kalisha Keane came off of a screen, took a pass from Brittney Thomas and sunk a three pointer that gave the No. 9 MSU women’s basketball team a 63-60 win over the No. 16 Iowa Hawkeyes." The Spartan women are now 16-1, the best start in MSU history. - Spartans' Korie Lucious 'always ready' for big shots, like his clutch 3-pointer vs. Wisconsin | MLive.com
Tuesday's shot was huge, but I'm sure everyone here knows that this link is simply an excuse to, in turn, link to this video. Again. - Did Michigan State basketball find identity in surviving Wisconsin? | freep.com | Detroit Free Press
Crediting Delvon Roe's commitment to defense, and praising the rebirth of Day-Day. As long as they were talking about defense, the author should probably have thrown in a sentence praising Keith Apping, who was also fantastic on Tuesday and is quickly turning into a perimeter stopper. - Jeff Goodman puts together his 2010-2011 Dream Team lineup - College Basketball News | FOX Sports on MSN
Draymond Green at forward, which is strange because this story was published before the Wisconsin game. - Big Ten Roundup: January 10th, 2010 — UMHoops.com
A bit dated at this point, but this is great stuff from Dylan and Joe. - Loaded Oklahoma, Oregon top early 2011 Top 25 Power Rankings - Andy Staples - SI.com
MSU at #16. Mark Schlabach slots the Spartans at #15, one spot behind Notre Dame. - Michigan State football recruits visiting East Lansing with national signing day approaching | MLive.com
This weekend's visitors include 5-star New Jersey running back Savon Huggins, 4-star DT Marquis Wright, 4-star OT (and wavering Wolverine commit) Jake Fisher, TE/LB Frank Clark, DE Desimon Green, DT Brandon Clemons, and WR Juwan Caesar. They'll all be at the Northwestern game on Saturday; a win (and a great atmosphere) would be nice. - Two-Deep Forecast: Offense :: Spartan Tailgate
Good resource form Dan Kilbridge. His projected offensive line starters, from left to right: David Barrent, Joel Foreman, Nate Klatt, Chris McDonald, Jared McGaha. - Browns hire Michigan State alum Pat Shurmur | freep.com | Detroit Free Press
Coached tight ends, the offensive line, and special teams in East Lansing from 1990-1997, and was a finalist for the head job in 2006. Best of luck to him. - Rich Rodriguez donates 432 Michigan items to Salvation Army | freep.com | Detroit Free Press
And if you'd like a souvenir to commemorate our dearly departed, head to the Salvation Army store in Taylor between noon and 2 on Saturday. In all seriousness, it's a pretty classy departing gesture; the Salvation Army might net a decent chunk of change from the sale.

The MSU Band...
…definitely outclassed the ‘Bama band in Orlando, so we got that going for us.
Bama’s halftime show was a tribute to the ’60’s, but surprisingly this did not include a bunch of sheriffs deputies chasing half the football team down the field with fire hoses and German shepherds.

From the Recruiting Article
Tidbit at the end: “The MSU sports information department said there is nothing to report in regard to a replacement for offensive coordinator Don Treadwell.”
"You can look at the dinosaur that weighs you down or you can look at the big pot of gold (and) try to say, 'You know what? I'm going to try to live up to expectations.' " -Tom Izzo, Iron Mountain Philosopher
Rexrode...
…said the same in his chat yesterday. Also said there was no update about any coaches following Treadwell to Miami U.

I will NEVER get tired
of watching that clip of Lucious vs Maryland
Seriously
If they play that clip at my funeral there is a 100 percent chance I will leap out of the casket screaming like a mad man. Even dead I think muscle memory to that clip will take over
