Matt Costello Propels Bay City Western into Top 10
I didn't want to save this for a recruiting round-up: Matt Costello is playing some exceptional bball. I've been a big advocate of him in G&W and Matt's recent performances are backing it up big-time. He's had some huge games and averaging 23pts and 14 rebounds as a junior post player in Class A is for real. He's up to #37 on ESPN's recently updated rankings.

Interesting
That they’ve been successfully moving him around to get him the ball when teams collapse on him. He played the three against Flint Northern and hit 3 straight 3-pointers.
Re:
With his height, shooting, and versatility, he could legitimately be a 3-4-5 sort of player but I bet the overwhelming majority of his time is in the frontcourt at MSU in roles similar to Day Day and what Gauna will do.
Seriously, we have a winner.

It's a real kicker that he's not even a senior
20212! Seriously?

I don’t know if Izzo will be around in 20212!
Seriously, thanks for all of the updates you give on recruiting. I don’t do a lot of research myself on it, so your posts are always informative and great to read.

If he's playing like this as a junior,
he may arrive at MSU more on the “game-ready” side of things than “project” and that doesn’t happen all the time for big men.
