'13 Mishawaka PG Demetrius Jackson to visit on Sept. 24
As he mentioned earlier this summer, Demetrius Jackson will be visiting Michigan State on September 24th. There's some speculation that he'll receive an offer if the visit goes well. Whether he does or not will probably tell us a lot about the likelihood of taking a 2013 point guard. Jackson also recently visited and received an offer from Notre Dame.

No word on a DSR visit yet?
I’m thinking that was all a smokescreen until I hear he actually visited.
I know there are rumors of an offer but I can’t imagine how that would happen without a visit unless Coach Izzo went to his house.

This guy seems to be pretty highly ranked, and he’s a decent size. I like that.
He was offered before he scheduled his visit.
I’d be surprised if many recruits planned their visits, especially the “official visits”, before actally being offered. That would be a big wast of time, effort, and money.
DSR
Without spreading pay content, the general impression is that, yes, DSR’s offer is something short of 100% commitable. I think a lot more needs to develop before DSR gets the opportunity to become a Spartan.

When I first started following recruiting
I was told that there are offers and there are OFFERS. Hard to know the exact score if you’re not MSU or DSR but it doesn’t look like Smith-Rivera can write his ticket yet.

I thought for sure we’d go Monte Morris or wait for Tyus in 14’.
I think Jackson has been ahead of Morris for a long time
Both MSU and UM appeared to clearly prefer other PGs to Monte. That is interesting! Good bulletin board material for him.

My speculation
We’ll know a lot more after this visit. My guess is that Jackson leaves this visit with an offer or never receives one from MSU.
