Damnit. Threw off his back foot

He’s been doing that all day, eventually was going to catch up to us

and their defense answers with a big play

Cunningham slipped coming out of his break, but that was trouble from the start

Hahahahahahahaha

by SpartanDan on Jan 2, 2012 2:50 PM CST reply actions

It's not an offsides if he gets back before it's snapped

They call encroachment & blow whistle/play dead if you touch an offensive player, or have a free lane to the QB, but if neither happens, they let you play. So if the D player can get back to correct side on LOS before the snap, it’s no penalty.

by MSUDersh on Jan 2, 2012 2:51 PM CST up reply actions

I know

I wasn’t watching the screen during the half-second that the play was active and I’m not used to seeing a bunch of guys standing around the line as a whistle blows without a flag.

Conservative?

A miscommunication was what killed us on 2nd down, and then Cousins did the exact opposite of conservative on 3rd.

Why is the penalty on UGA automatically declined?

shouldn’t they atart on the 40 rather than the 25?

by MSUDersh on Jan 2, 2012 3:48 PM CST reply actions

Nope. During the play.

Has to be after to be enforced on theirs.

Makes no sense

If they get a personal foul after a PAT, we move up 15 yards on the kickoff.

by MSUDersh on Jan 2, 2012 3:49 PM CST up reply actions

This was during, not after.

Would have negated a TD return but otherwise since they’re not starting where the play would have ended, I guess the theory is that it’s part of our possession, not theirs.

What the fuck! They get a free penalty?

Why isn’t it assessed on their possession? That is horseshit.

We DO have stellar special teams . . .

we have 650 lbs lining up over the RG. Come on block this shit!!!

Potentially a tough way to go out, but I’ll remember this team fondly either way.

but don’t go pro. Would be worst “going early” since Marcus Taylor or Sedrick

I get it, but

he said they’re reviewing the status of the catch. I know in NFL you can only review what you state is being reviewed, in NCAA can you review for anything??

No, even in NFL once it's being reviewed everything that is reviewable about a play can be changed.

next MSU NFL players- William Gholston, Anthony Rashad White.

From this year's upperclassmen:

Worthy, Cousins, Cunningham, Foreman Nichol, Linthicum, TR, Adams & Pickleman will play on Sundays.

Baker, Hoover, McDonald, Celek, all have a shot.

Lots of underclassmen have shots, too, I think Gholston is a sure thing, Rush maybe, ARW, Denzel, Isaiah Lewis is a sure thing, wow we have lots of talent, go Green!!!

by MSUDersh on Jan 2, 2012 4:26 PM CST up reply actions

Wow.

What a way to cap the season. We came in and represented. Down big in the first half, I was honestly starting to feel horible flashbacks to last year. This team fought back though. Good luck topping that, Rose Bowl!
