MSU Photo of the Week: Cheerleaders perform against Northwestern (1972)

MSU Archives

Cheerleaders perform at the MSU vs. Northwestern football game on November 25, 1972. Karen Lopez is the first person from the right in the back row standing on a male cheerleader's shoulders.

That certainly looks like snow. The good news is that tomorrow's forecast looks about as beautiful as possible, given the time of the year.

Per the media guide, MSU won 24-14 in what was Duffy Daugherty's last game as MSU's head coach. MSU went 5-5-1 that season. A total of 46,140 fans attended the game, which is, well, not a lot.
