MSU 70, Oakland 52 -- Reaction Thread

Gregory Shamus

Quite similar to the previous game against Boise State, MSU couldn't hold onto the ball, but pulled away at the end for a 70-52 win over Oakland on Friday.

MSU had 20 turnovers on the day, while they shot 53 percent.

Keith Appling led MSU with 20 points, five rebounds and two assists, along with some great defense, while Denzel Valentine did everything, finishing with 10 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Adreian Payne turned in 15 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, while Derrick Nix finished strong down the stretch and had 10 points and seven rebounds.
