Basketball season tips off once again, and not a moment too soon! Last year's opener brought us the unforgettable images of basketball on an aircraft carrier at dusk, and while this year's game will be less picturesque, that doesn't make it any less meaningful to our troops or the teams. It's time to fire up for more than four months of basketball season.

This is the open thread: If you're new here, welcome! We have but three rules: No links to illegal game streams (we like not being sued), no slurs (no bigotry please and thank you), and be cool to one another (we're all on the same team here, even if some us have different ideas about how to run said team).
