Michigan State will square off against UConn for its season opener this November 9th at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. This is the home of the USAF in Europe and the game will likely be watched by 2,500 to 3,000 enlisted troops at the base. The game is scheduled for a 10 PM tip local time in Germany, making it an early evening game in ET. We all know Hollis deserves his raise, but here's another reason why. Yet another example of his outside-the-box ingenuity as it relates to the scheduling of Spartan athletic events. And here's to Tom Izzo. Many coaches may be hesitant to take a college basketball team abroad for its first regular season game. Izzo recognizes the positive impact this game can and will have on the morale of the team and the troops.
