MSU hockey revealed the new jersey designs Thursday. The Spartan head remains on the front for the main jerseys, while the long shoulder stripes return. (The green in the mock-up is brighter than I imagine the final product will be). I would have preferred to have the 'S' on the shoulders than another Spartan head. I don't like how the 'S' is being abandoned by the department/Nike, but I digress. Also, many fans will be pleased to see that the script logo has returned for two "vintage" jerseys, which will debut at the Great Lakes Invitational at Comerica Park. The remainder of the jersey is the same. This move is similar to Michigan, which has designed two commemorative jerseys for the GLI. Overall, I like the set. I would have preferred an all-white third jersey for big games, but I won't complain about the vintage pair. What do you think?
