ESPN's Big Ten blog has been counting backward and ranking the Big Ten football stadiums. Today was MSU, coming in at No. 7. While the number feels like it's bad, it's really a statement about the number of great stadiums in the conference. Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin and Nebraska have some of the best stadiums in the nation, while Iowa probably was a close call at No. 6. There's no doubt that the upgrades will help Spartan Stadium and were needed. But the gray cement exterior, gas station and bathrooms still need some work. I miss the smokestack, but can't wait for those scoreboards.
