We write to request your assistance in supporting a fundraising bike ride from Ann Arbor (the Big House) to E. Lansing (Spartan Stadium) on November 2, 2013 (game day) to raise awareness of and money for ALS research.
I am and MSU graduate 85’ and my wife Gayle Rosen is a U of M graduate 85’. Our son started this ride last year and successfully raised over $8,000 dollars for A2A3, a charitable organization . Any assistance you can provide in publicizing or supporting the event would be greatly appreciated. I attach the link to the A2A3 website for further information:

Second Annual Rivalry Ride between the Big House and Spartan Stadium to benefit Active Against ALS
Hi, my name is Sam Sugerman.
Last year for my Bar Mitzvah project my family, friends, and I rode our bikes from Spartan Stadium to the Big House on the day of the Michigan – Michigan State football game.
Due to the incredible response and the generosity of so many people, we raised over $8000 for Ann Arbor Active Against ALS. Because this ride was such a success we decided to make it an annual event!
On November 2, 2013, the date of the Michigan – Michigan State football game, we will be riding from the Big House in Ann Arbor to Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.
We plan to leave the Big House at 7:30 a.m.and follow the same scenic, rural, and mostly paved and flat, route for about 65 miles to East Lansing.
We would like to encourage anyone interested, whether a Wolverine or a Spartan, to ride with us! However, everyone will need to arrange for their own transportation home from East Lansing.
To increase awareness of ALS, and to raise money for ALS research, we ask that each rider solicit pledges to donate to Ann Arbor Active Against ALS.
Thank you for your support –
Sam Sugerman and Family
