This is a portrait of Earvin "Magic" Johnson with a basketball.
I believe this portrait is from the 1977-78 season, Johnson's first of two in East Lansing. MSU would win the Big Ten, but fall in the Elite Eight in 1978 before winning the Big Ten and national championships in 1979.
