Warning: I'm in a bad mood. I read in the Free Press today (9/20) an article about Brady Hoke rooting for MSU this weekend over ND - http://www.freep.com/article/20130919/SPORTS06/309190103/. Hoke says "You always pull for the Big Ten". Thanks for the support Brady. Now, the article is somewhat of a puff piece and there's nothing there of any real substance, but the comment section is blowing up. Michigan and Michigan State fans arguing with each other (what else is new). One comment that came up repeatedly in the comment section is about how Big Ten teams should root for each other because its good for the conference. Here's my take on it... I'm a Michigan State fan, not a Big Ten fan. In fact, I don't really care for the B1G all that much. I think Delany is a boob and preferential treatment within the B1G exists. In my mind, UM and OSU are the favorite children. Not only that, I also think that MSU doesn't get the support they deserve from the B1G. Now this might sound very little brotherish of me, but it's how I feel. So, no matter what, I root against Michigan. I don't care if that hurts the overall brand of the B1G. The ONLY situation I would ever consider rooting for Michigan is if a Michigan win would directly lead to some sort of championship for MSU. In conclusion, Michigan and the B1G can suck it for all I care.
