As I said in the Wisconsin preview, as weird as the Big Ten regular season has been, it seems almost anticlimactic that the Big Ten Tournament has played out almost to chalk, as fifth seeded Ohio State is the only team in the semifinals that isn't a top four seed. Even then, Ohio State was favored against Nebraska to reach this point.
Since this is the semifinals, there are obviously only two games today, with Ohio State-Michigan opening Saturday and Michigan State-Wisconsin closing it. Here's what to expect:
Saturday, 1:40 Eastern: (1) MICHIGAN vs. (5) OHIO STATE - TV: CBS
A good part of the talk headed into this game has been about the miracle escape Ohio State pulled off against Nebraska to make it here. While the Buckeyes did come back from an 18 point deficit to win, remember that OSU also came back from 17 points down against MSU in East Lansing with a little over seven minutes to go to send the game to overtime before losing. The Buckeyes - providing as little offense as necessary to win since the start of 2014.
Michigan was in the opposite situation yesterday, as they blew a 13 point second half lead to Illinois. With the Wolverines one with less than 20 seconds remaining, Nik Stauskas found a wide open Jordan Morgan in the post, and the Michigan big man put down the lay up with less than ten seconds to send the maize and blue to the semifinals.
KENPOM HAS: Michigan 65, Ohio State 64. The Wolverines have a 55% chance of winning.
VEGAS HAS: As of Friday night, Michigan is favored anywhere from -2 to -3.
WE THINK: Michigan 68, Ohio State 62. The reason? I keep seeing that stat that states OSU has made it to the last five Big Ten Tournament title games, and I think this is the year that streak is snapped.
Saturday, 4:ish Eastern: (3) MICHIGAN STATE vs. (2) WISCONSIN - TV: CBS

KENPOM HAS: Wisconsin 71, Michigan State 69. The Spartans have a 44% chance of winning. An aside - doesn't that game seem high scoring to you? Doesn't it?
VEGAS HAS: At the time this was written, there was no line on this game. Feel free to post them in the comments.
WE THINK: Michigan State 63, Wisconsin 60. MSU and Michigan have never played in the Big Ten Tourney, it's time to set that up.
This is the open thread for OSU-Michigan. Same three rules as always: no links to illegal game streams, be cool to one another, and don't feed the trolls. Enjoy the game everyone.
