Week 5 in college football is among us and it's an exciting one in East Lansing. The Spartans will take on the Purdue Boilermakers in their first Big Ten showdown. Michigan State is coming off of a 30-10 win over Central Michigan, showcasing a dangerous backfield that ran for 181 yards and three touchdowns. Purdue is entering Saturday's contest 1-3 after losing last weekend against Bowling Green 35-28. Purdue gave up 539 yards and 39 first downs, which allowed Bowling Green to stay in the game and execute. The Boilermakers will boast two talented running backs that should keep the Spartan's defense busy throughout the day. D.J. Knox is a short, elusive, and quick receiver that can make moves that will make a crowd scream when in open space. Markell Jones is the other half of the duo that is listed at 207, but runs like he is 225. Jones brings a solid downhill running style to the Boilmakers and also has break-away speed. The Spartans will have to keep these two bottled up and force Purdue's quarterback into facing our secondary. This week the staff has the Spartans winning by at least three touchdowns, which in reality should probably be even more.
