Quick. Think of the greatest rivalry in College Football today. Got your answer?
Alabama vs. LSU? Nope.
Clemson vs. Florida State? Try again.
Ohio State vs. Michigan? You are wrong.
According to CBS Sports, the best modern college football rivalry is the one between the Buckeyes of Ohio State University and your Michigan State Spartans.
The article details that while the past between OSU and Michigan may be more storied with a deep history, the biggest game on both MSU and OSU schedule is each other and the road to the Big Ten Championship does not run through Columbus or Ann Arbor this year, but through East Lansing.
The rivalry itself started in earnest in 2013 when a Michigan State team rolled into Lucas Oil Stadium and faced an Ohio State team that was a perfect 24-0 under Urban Meyer up until that point. We all know how that ended. MSU was biting roses and Urban Meyer was eating pizza on a golf cart.

As the article continues,
The 2013 pizza game came after a 17-16 Ohio State win the year before, evening the score between Dantonio and Meyer. The Buckeyes responded with a 49-37 win in East Lansing the next year on the way to winning the national title before stumbling last season in Columbus.
For those of you looking for video of that “stumble”.
Looking forward to the matchup in East Lansing on November 19th, there is a real chance that it will once again determine who goes to the Big Ten Championship and plays the winner of the West for a potential College Football Playoff birth.
