Last week, rumblings of another sexual assault investigation against a Michigan State football player began. Today, it was revealed that the player under investigation was defensive lineman Auston Robertson, who was subsequently charged with third-degree sexual misconduct Friday morning.
As Freep’s Chris Solari notes, this is the second major charge against Robertson who entered a diversionary program back in 2015 after another charge.
Second serious allegation against Robertson. Was arrested Jan 2016 on misdemeanor battery charge from Oct '15 incident at HS in Fort Wayne. https://t.co/SRZPgc9hUX

Unfortunately, we have to clarify which sexual assault investigation Robertson pertains to. To answer the question on everyone’s mind, he is not one of the three players involved in the other ongoing investigation and these charges are unconnected with that investigation, either.
We will provide updates when more concrete news becomes available
