The procedure on Lucas' left foot/ankle went well. He's hoping to join the team in Indy later this week. Elsewhere in the world of college basketball, there are conflicting reports on what's going on with Oregon and Tubby Smith.

Allen says he would have gone 30 minutes against UNI if not for foul trouble, but also says he tweaked the foot early in the second half and was in quite a bit of pain. Quote: "I don't care what happens tomorrow because I've got a week to recover. I'll just go all out." Roe says his knee "has as much as it needs to help get this team to the championship. I am sore but it’s hard work to get to the Final Four." I love the attitude, but I worry about what the impact of the quick turnaround will be on the two players' ability to compete at a high level for 20+ minutes on Sunday afternoon. Tom Izzo, meanwhile has installed some plays in which Draymond Green functions as the point guard. Top seeds are falling like flies. Is Izzo's bag of tricks deep enough to take advantage? P.S. Allen's foot is green, not purple, now. Seems liked good karma for a Spartan player, at least. Practiced for 50 minutes without pain yesterday. Switching to shoes with more stability/support. My intuition is that that we'll do well to get a good 10-15 minutes out of Allen tonight. Austin Thornton is very likely to get an opportunity to build on the 7 points and 5 rebounds (in 16 minutes) he's produced in the last two games.

Strained arch. In a boot. Game-time decision. Definitely puts a crimp in Tom Izzo's plans. Lucas insisted on practicing today. Claims to be 100%.

As expected; torn ACL. Nichol is day-to-day (but aren't we all?). Caper is A-OK.
