A loss tonight certainly wouldn't end the season, but it would probably mean that a #1 or #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament becomes unobtainable.
A win, on the other hand, would give MSU a split in its four nonconference games against quality foes and set things up for a high NCAA seed, depending on how efficient the team is in Big Ten play.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall, right?
