Game Thread and Mini-Preview -- Michigan State vs. Central Connecticut State

Your MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS vs. the CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE BLUE DEVILS
THE JACK BRESLIN STUDENT EVENTS CENTER, EAST LANSING, MICHIGAN
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 7:00 ET
TV: ESPNU
RADIO: Spartan Sports Network (Will Tieman, Gus Ganakas, Matt Steigenga)

This game should be a bit tougher than Sunday's laugher against Nebraska-Omaha; then again almost anything else would be. The Blue Devils (KenPom #157) enter tonight's game at 5-2. However, their best win is probably an overtime victory against Sacred Heart (KenPom #183) and their two losses have come against Yale and Niagara. I've now used three sentences to tell you that this is a game MSU should win.

The Spartans will have to look out from behind the arc -- CCSU is currently making 40.4% of their threes. They'll need to watch the ball as well, since the Blue Devils have forced turnovers on 26.1% of their opponents possessions, 19th in Division 1. Where they're weak? Getting free throws, two-point field goal defense and snatching defensive rebounds. If this sounds like a perimeter-oriented team, that's because they are, and for good reason -- none of their rotation players are taller than 6'6".

This is the open thread. Same rules apply as always: No links to illegal game streams, no slurs, and be cool to one another. I'll be watching this game from the stands (thanks to @TimBograkos for the opportunity to get some nice seats -- Humble Brag).

GO GREEN, GO WHITE, BEAT CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE.
