Well, we had to sweat it out, but MSU is heading to Tampa to play UCLA on Thursday. A possible second-round game with Florida looms thereafter.
At first blush, this isn't a horrible matchup for MSU, as Kenpom actually rates UCLA (#53) eleven places lower than the Spartans (#42). And, while MSU lost to Florida in Atlantic City last year, even the most casual Spartan fan is familiar with Tom Izzo's tournament record against Billy Donovan.
It's a good showing for the conference, as 7 Big Ten teams made it into the tournament. We'll have more soon, of course. For now, what's your reaction to the draw?
