Note: I couldn't get any Scout stories on here because the site is acting funky. Possibly related to its redesign.
Another big recruiting weekend resulted in a loss on the field. Not a ton of news, given MSU is on the road this week. but here we go.
Williams exits EL uncommitted (247) - A few weeks back, Pennsylvania three-star athlete Delton Williams said if he visited MSU again, it would be to commit. He visited for the Ohio State game, but did not commit. Asked why he didn't, Williams said he couldn't really say. MSU and West Virginia are the two schools he's choosing between.
For what it's worth, high school teammate and MSU quarterback commit Damion Terry tweeted that there was good news for MSU, but he quickly deleted it. Some other MSU commits asked Terry what it was about.
The latest on Peko: More visits to come (Rivals) - JC DT Kyle Peko is not planning on making a decision anytime soon. He says he plays to visit Utah, Boise State and Nebraska after his season ends in December. But he's not crunched for time. MSU will take his commit whenever it comes, if it does. In this story, he also talks about how Tupe and Domata are pushing him to MSU.
New Peko style!

The big fella from Samoa, Gangnam Styling for the tying touchdown. Take it home!
Scholarship number dynamic (Rivals) - SpartanMag looks at players who might leave MSU early for various reasons, and what it could mean. Fou Fonoti medical redshirt? Will Gholston/Le'Veon Bell leave early? Transfers?
Scanlon on Spartan radar (Rivals) - With the previously-mentioned small scholarship numbers remaining for 2013, MSU still wants to add a kicker, whether it be in a walk-on, greyshirt or scholarship role. Dowagiac kicker Brett Scanlon is getting interest from MSU.
"I'm currently being recruited by a number of schools from all over the country," he said "They include Michigan State, LSU, Yale, Illinois, Western, Ball State, University of Memphis, and UCLA. I would have to say that Michigan State is definitely one of my top choices. I'm hoping I will be able to get an offer from them.
'I would like to be there' (247) - Another kicker MSU is looking at is Joel Schipper from Grand Rapids. He says he's focusing on MSU and Western Michigan.
4-star tackle considering MSU visit (247) - Ohio defensive tackle Donovan Munger is one of the top uncommitted players in the Midwest. His high school coach says MSU wants him as a lineman on either side, and MSU might be one of his official visits.
Class of 2014: Sizzling Seven (247) - Spartan Tailgate looks at seven 2014 prospects in order of most likely to end up in East Lansing, even if Signing Day is more than a year away. Ohio OT Kyle Trout is No. 1. No word if he'd vote for Mike Trout for MVP.
Webb talks early leaders (247) - 2014 four-star Cass Tech cornerback Damon Webb visited for MSU-Ohio State and likes both teams. He lists his top five as LSU, MSU, Ohio State, Michigan and West Virginia, in no order. With MSU having recently picked up two Cass Tech commits for the first time in more than a decade, the stigma appears to be going away.
"I know a lot of dudes on the team like Michigan State," Webb said. "They always say Cass is a Michigan school but everybody's open-minded."
Booth back in East Lansing (247) - 2014 four-star Indianapolis receiver Dominique Booth has 13 scholarship offers, the first of which was MSU. He visited for the Ohio State game and obviously said he had a good time. He also says Dave Warner wants to visit Booth at his school this weekend, since MSU is playing at Indiana.
