Recruiting blog (Scout) - Scout says Cass Tech OL David Dawson was able to get up to EL part way through the Nebraska game (he had a playoff game earlier in the day), and MSU officially offered him. Dantonio visits McDowell (247) - Dantonio visited Detroit Loyola on Wednesday. He wasn't allowed to talk with DE Malik McDowell or two-way lineman Ka'John Armstrong, but did speak with their coach and tour the school. Head coach John Callahan had some really nice things to say about Dantonio.

"I know he had places to go. Again he's so sincere in what he does with his job. It's very impressive. I made the comment before when I brought Malik and Ka'John up for one of his practices, when he offered Malik, he turned around and took Ka'John and spent a half hour walking around practice with him.

"It was the same thing yesterday. He certainly didn't need to hang around but he wanted to see the school and look at the facilities and what we had and look at the program. He's just a good man. He's a good man and you can see why the kids love to play for him."

Allen talks visit, decision time (247) - Illinois center Brian Allen, cousin of current MSU lineman Jack, visited for the Nebraska game. His only other visit scheduled is Wisconsin for the Ohio State game. Some thought he would make a decision after his season, but says that has been pushed back to spring.

Spartans surprise Richardson (Scout) - Four-star Ohio OT Nick Richardson visited for the Nebraska game and was surprised with an offer. He currently has offers from Illinois, Toledo and Cincinnati. He also had a quote that jumped out at me.

"I liked their student section and all their traditions,"

In-state TE looking at Spartans (Rivals) - Blake Williams of Romeo could be the top TE recruit in the state. He has a few relatives enrolled at MSU right now, and he's getting interest from Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford and others. He says academics is the most important thing.

DE Roney enjoys visit to State (Rivals) - MSU sees Detroit Catholic Central defensive end Dylan Roney in the mold of Marcus Rush. He visited for the Nebraska game and says he has a lot of friends at MSU. He's also getting interest from U-M, Nebraska, Wisconsin and others.
