Note: Hey guys, my name is Mike and I am a new addition to TOC crew. I will be doing these recruiting roundups, in addition to other recruiting pieces. I also write over at The Little Brother Blog, though that will be far less frequent now. You can follow me on Twitter at SpartansOrDie.
With a week off from practices before Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl preparations commence, the Michigan State staff has been busy on the recruiting trail.
Stops were made by coaches from Florida to Ohio to New Jersey and places in between, including Erie Cathedral Prep, home of the undefeated Ramblers and commits Damion Terry and Delton Williams.
Just got done touring coach D around the school!

Recruiting rumblings: Jersey DE comes into view (Rivals) - In addition to visiting MSU commits, the Spartans staff has been checking in on some players committed elsewhere. Most notably, Auburn defensive end commit Tashaun Bower.
'My mind is already set' (247) - A couple weeks after linebacker commit Jon Reschke was offered by Michigan, another MSU commit, Dennis Finley, received an offer from the Wolverines. Just like Reschke, however, Finley is sticking with his commitment to the green and white.
Linebacker commit Shane Jones, who also had a Michigan offer prior to committing to MSU, had something to say about the recent developments of Michigan offering MSU commits.
Michigan is offering some of our guys...too late son!

MSU staff on Wisconsin (247) - With Bret Bielema's departure, MSU coaches have been in contact with some Wisconsin commits in the past few days to gauge interest. Time will tell if anything comes of it, but a few players already hold MSU offers and thought highly of MSU before committing to the Badgers -- here's look at you, Alec James.
R250 has its share of uppers and downers (Rivals) - Reschke made a big jump in the Rivals rankings, moving from unranked in the top 250 all the way to No. 148. He also moved from the 22nd-ranked inside linebacker to No. 12. Reschke is the lone MSU commit in the Rivals 250. Commits Terry, Williams and wide receiver Jay Harris also moved up in the rankings.
Jones helps team to state championship (Scout) - Linebacker commit Shane Jones helped Cincinnati Moeller win a state title. Jones had 7.5 tackles, including two for loss, in the 20-12 win.
