You've probably seen these things floating around the interwebs today.
Joe Rexrode has confirmed that MSU will wear them Sunday at Indiana. Nike chose which game they would be used. With Indiana being a high-profile game against an adidas school, it makes sense. Ohio State is wearing similar jerseys at Michigan on Feb. 5. (Here are the other schools) It's possible MSU could wear them again this season.
They look very similar to the football Pro Combats, but these are called "Hyper Elite."
My opinion? The logo on the front looks stupid. A few Nike schools like Michigan and North Carolina wore the same thing in the 1999-2000 season. If it said "Spartans" in bronze, I'd probably like them more. You never want to lose in an alternate jersey, and I think MSU will get blown out at Indiana.
I know a lot of people hate the bronze. All I can do is compare it to Notre Dame using green. Their school colors are blue and gold, but the "Irish" gives them the opportunity to use green, like "Spartans" gives MSU an opportunity to use bronze, the title of this blog be damned.
Anyway, what do you think? Take the poll and leave thoughts in the comments.
