MSU heads to Champaign for its second Big Ten road game. It's MSU's first trip to Illinois since 2009 and third trip in the past decade. The Spartans have won 11 of the past 12 meetings.
Illinois is 3-3, already surpassing last year's win total. The Illini have defeated Southern Illinois, Cincinnati and Miami (OH), while losing to Washington, Nebraska and Wisconsin. Illinois is averaging 35.3 points per game, but allowing 32.3.
It's the first time MSU is on ABC this year.
This might be my first time playing against the #1 ranked defense in the nation. Great opportunity against MSU #illini
