Your MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS vs. THE NORTH CAROLINA TAR HEELS
THE JACK BRESLIN STUDENT EVENTS CENTER, EAST LANSING, MICHIGAN
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2013 at 9:00 PM
TV: ESPN (Link to WatchESPN page)
RADIO: SPARTAN SPORTS NETWORK
The Big Ten is 2-4 in the B1G-ACC challenge thanks to losses by Michigan to Duke (expected), Indiana to Syracuse (expected to all but Tom Crean, whose "BEAT SYRACUSE" rings are being shipped to Africa as you read this), Penn State to Pittsburgh (only lost by 9 to Pittsburgh -- hang in there kiddo! You'll make it), and Illinois to Georgia Tech (you're the reason the B1G's behind, Illini). Since the B1G still owns the challenge trophy, the ACC will need win to three games to take the title proper, and among Northwestern, Nebraska, and Purdue playing tonight, they probably have said wins.
That said, it's not like MSU gets a worse seeding on Selection Sunday if the ACC wins the title tonight. MSU won when the B1G lost this machination for TV ratings when they were making Final Fours, and the Spartans will continue to win when Rutgers inevitably drags the B1G down in this challenge next year. This is the silver medal of the nonconference schedule to Kentucky's gold, and we won't have any more Spartan basketball until MSU plays Oakland in ten days. Ration accordingly.
This is the open thread. Regulars, you know the rules; everyone else, you'll need to see these rules three: No links to illegal game streams, no slurs, and be cool to one another. Enjoy the game, everyone.
GO GREEN, GO WHITE, BEAT NORTH CAROLINA.
