Our friend Mike Wilson at Scout is reporting Gary Harris is out indefinitely with his right ankle injury that was re-aggravated in last night's loss.
Wilson says Harris will be held out of everything for a couple of weeks. It was possible, leading up to the North Carolina game, that Harris wasn't even going to play in that game. After suffering a shoulder injury early last season and then hurting his ankle over the summer, Harris has basically been injured for all of his MSU career.
MSU doesn't play again until Dec. 14, when it takes on Oakland at The Palace. Then, it's North Florida on Dec. 17 and Texas on the road on Dec. 21.
If Harris isn't ready for Oakland, my guess is Travis Trice would move into the starting lineup, but it could also be Denzel Valentine. Trice would provide better shooting and flexibility to have Keith Appling play shooting guard at times, too.
