I wrote this before Heck's piece on free ways to improve the offense went up, so it's partly the same thing.
If MSU drops one or two fewer passes per game, what's the perception of Andrew Maxwell? Maybe MSU picks up another first down, scores another touchdown and wins another game? He was rightfully criticized, but he got no help.
The quarterback battle is important, but it won't matter if the receivers drop 60 passes again.
