Linking Laconically is playing for a title

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

We're down to a little more than 48 hours until Michigan State and Nebraska square off in what will almost assuredly be looked at as one of the biggest games of the Big Ten season when it's all said and done. But what has me most excited for Saturday is that the Huskers and Spartans represent the only hopes for the Big Ten to sneak its way into the inaugural playoff. Win or lose Saturday, both teams will have every chance yet to win the conference title. But if either team has bigger goals (Spoiler: They do), Saturday is already a do-or-die situation.
