The second College Football Playoff poll was released last night, and MSU stayed put at No. 8, jumped by a Kansas State team with, at best, and equal resume to the Spartans. It's annoying and frustrating, but hopefully this weekend clears some things up. Michigan State obviously has the showdown with Ohio State, and Kansas State takes on TCU, which is also ahead of MSU. Oregon has a tricky game against Utah, and Notre Dame plays top-15 team Arizona State. Things could look very different next week, but it doesn't look like Michigan State will ever get the benefit of the doubt this season.
