Along with Malik McDowell making it official that he will be a Spartan today, it seems his announcement has also marked the official turning of the page from basketball season to spring football. All the eyes are now focused on Mark Dantonio's program, and so far, spring is off to a pretty solid start. Position battles are taking shape and various players are looking to get the inside track on openings left by the likes of Max Bullough, Denicos Allen and Darqueze Dennard. Next man up.
