By scheduling a home-and-home with the Sun Devils, MSU did a pretty good job of replacing Notre Dame when the Irish drop from the schedule. And the Spartans continue to prove they're not afraid to avoid a complete cupcake non-conference schedule, despite the Big Ten's move to a nine-game conference slate in 2016.
