Although Michigan State is playing against a vastly inferior opponent on paper (and everywhere else) this weekend, the Spartans have plenty of motivation. Nobody wants to come out flat after a loss, and if MSU has any hopes of salvaging a playoff spot, the Spartans can't afford to do so. While completely destroying Eastern and just soundly beating the Eagles won't make much of a difference, I'd expect a dominant performance from MSU on Saturday.
If only it were possible to hold a team to negative points.
